This is the one that dropped bit support.

Yeah same here, performance wise, if anything its a smoother High Sierra with an awesome dark mode and a fancy desktop wallpaper that changes with the time of day heh. I bought a Radeon RX for my Mac Pro to do the upgrade, and it was worth it for the improvement in games alone. Audiowise, everything is running as it should be.
At the same time though, over the last month Ive upgraded a bunch of stuff in the Mac Pro. Swapped the stock quad 2. All is well here. DJ Bechara. Should I upgrade my High Sierra to Mojave??
Mojave is smooth here. Sierra was good for me, HS a bit slower, and Mojave an improvement over both. Having been with Apple since what, OS6 back in the days of antiquity, I believe that Mojave is one of their best OSs takes the crown from I’d go for it.
Mojave is a bit snappier than Sierra but not to the point of making it a compelling upgrade imho. The dark theme is nice though. I got a zillion plugin installed and my workflow is really smooth under High Sierra! Warning; install all your drivers in Mojave before upgrading to HS. Finally wiped everything and reinstalled it all. Last edited by microwave; 23rd April at PM.. My was an upgrade from HS. Had to put in the new Radeon RX and do the firmware flash without a display, but after that it went great heh.
I can’t remember why I did it but I don’t think the original upgraded install was necessarily broken. Mojave is pretty cool so far. Its smooth as hell on my , and everything just works as it should again. Nowadays I don’t even mind the ‘iOSification’ of it anymore. Its just what it is, Logic works as it always has and gets the job done and I can play my old RPGs and stuff so there we go! But something can always go wrong. So if you have no real reason to upgrade, ask yourself why.
And how long you can deal with being down and reinstalling stuff if it breaks. It’s doubtful having a dark mode is worth any kind of headache. HS is fine, Mojave is fine. I just bought a and installed High Sierra. That says it all for me. If all is super stable, why upgrade? I am on El Capitan with Logic Totally stable too, I am going nowhere! Whether you upgrade now or possibly later, it’s a good idea to download the Mojave installer right now.
At this point, Mojave will still run bit apps with a warning , which might be useful for many people. The next OS will almost certainly require bit apps only, so if you want a certain degree of “insurance” Monotremata: Yup So, either you get an update for your software that is bit, or don’t go past Mojave – if you still want your “old” software to keep on running.
I don’t know if these old apps will work using an OS emulator – I haven’t researched this yet. If all your devices drivers are compatible with Mojave I would upgrade to it. I hope that would fix the CP bug. Top Mentioned Manufacturers. Facebook Twitter Reddit LinkedIn. Subscribe to our mailing lists. By using this site, you agree to our use of cookies.

But I’m not allowed to do that because it seems that it is now only downloadable from Mac OS Does anyone have an idea how I can download and install Logic for Mojave?
After all, I paid for the software. Thanks a lot! Translated with www. You should be able to download the last compatible version of Logic Pro available for your Mojave OS. Not that I know. I run into the same problem, and had to update to Catalina.
Any previous versions of Logic are not available anywhere on the App Store, at least since they released Just ran into this issue. The iMac already has Logic Read that I could go to the app store and it would download the most recent compatible version. Nope – the pop up to download the most recent compatible version just keeps popping up, and no download ever happens. Looks like I’m stuck with 2 different versions of Logic not the end of the world until I upgrade my iMac.

Can you download the additional sounds in the usual way? Part of the reason I wanted the same version of Logic is that 2 instruments weren’t loading on the older version. Getting to the newer version, I was able to download them using the sound library manager. Also was able to offload my sound library to an external drive. When Catalina came out, eventually Apple realized that a lot of SW and HW wasn’t going to be Catalina compatible for some time or ever and support provided a fully qualified link to download the Mojave installer to downgrade those shiny new Macs people were buying. When I moved to Catalina, I lost a lot of effects plugins and support for an older, but trusted, Digi R that I was using as a backup.
It’s pretty silly it doesn’t work from the product page of Logic Pro. And also that it doesn’t work unless you delete it AND restart led to “purchase cancelled” etc for me before restart. Logic Pro Ugh, of course it doesn’t work for everyone the same way. I would try logging out from app store and back in maybe even log out, restart and then log back in. Oh and make sure you’ve quit app store and don’t have “reopen windows” when restarting. If these don’t help, i’d try to do the basic resets nvram etc.
So I made a backup of the Logic It was easy to re-install logic. In that case – does someone maybe have a backup of Logic the The I could install that on my Mojave OS? Glad to hear you got it sorted! And to rule out possible macos user account problem, another user account could be created and see if the download would work with that. Hey adamjhoward, I know that this is an old thread but I’ve been trying to find a copy of version Apple support said they’re not able to give me a previous version and suggested I reach out to others to see if they have a copy.
